Transportation

We are transitioning to Boston Public Schools yellow bus transportation for SY26-27.
BPS yellow bus transportation will only be available for:

  • Students entering Grade 6, who live beyond a 1.5 mile radius away from the school
  • Students in Grades 6–12 who have an active IEP or 504 Plan that specifically includes transportation services (door-to-door or corner stop transportation)

Beginning next school year, eligible families can use the Zum app to view and track bus route information, track buses in real time, receive pickup/drop-off alerts, and cancel same-day rides.
BPS Transportation will assign all bus routes directly. For questions about routes or bus delays, please contact, BPS Transportation line at 617-635-9520 or [email protected].

Families whose students are not eligible for yellow bus transportation should begin planning for alternative transportation for the upcoming school year. All students living in Boston who do not receive yellow bus transportation will receive an MBTA (M7) pass to use throughout the school year free of charge. Students will receive this during the first few days of school. Boston Prep has nearby access to Mattapan Station and Forest Hills Station.

Public Transportation information
  • Boston Prep is easily accessible by the MBTA.
  • All students (7-12) receive an M7 card.
    • From September to June, passes are preloaded by Boston Prep.
    • In July and August, use your card to get discounted fares and passes
    • Your card comes preloaded for unlimited travel on the bus, subway, Commuter Rail Zones 1A, 1, and 2, and East Boston Ferry.
