The BPCPS staff currently includes:
 
Laurie Bacon, English Teacher, B.A. Pitzer College, M.A. Boston University, M.Ed Harvard University
Ms. Bacon spent the last year teaching Honors Religions in Literature at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
 
Carrie Baldwin, Science Teacher, B.A. Colgate University, M.Ed. Harvard University
Before attending Harvard, Ms. Baldwin spent three years teaching Science at the Roxbury Preparatory Charter School in Roxbury, MA. Ms. Baldwin is in her second year at BPCPS.
 
Richard Benka, Math Tutor, B.A. Harvard College, J.D. Harvard Law School, M.P.P. John F. Kennedy School of Government
Prior to serving as a math tutor and teacher at BPCPS, Mr. Benka worked as an attorney for Foley Hoag LLP in Boston. This is Mr. Benka's third year at BPCPS.
 
David Berkley, English Teacher, B.A. Dartmouth College, M.Ed. Harvard University
Mr. Berkley was a founding English Teacher at BPCPS. Prior to working at BPCPS, Mr. Berkley was on the founding teams at Uphams Corner Charter School in South Boston, the Harbor School in Dorchester, and the Francis Parker Charter School in Devens. This is Mr. Berkley's fifth year at BPCPS.
 
Wells Blanchard, Math Teacher, B.A. Amherst College, MAT Simmons College
Before coming to BPCPS, Mr. Blanchard worked at Leadership Public Schools in San Jose, California. He also taught a computer class at the Katherine Delmar Burke School in San Francisco, California. This is Mr. Blanchard's fourth year at BPCPS.
 
Meghan Blute-Nelson, Director of Operations and Finance, B.A. Georgetown University
Previously the founding Director of Development for BPCPS, we welcome back Ms. Blute-Nelson who has been earning her Master’s degree at Boston University over the past school year.
 
Jaclyn Capria, Speech & Language Pathologist, B.S. State University of New York at Geneseo, M.S. MGH Institute of Health Professions
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Capria worked as a Graduate Student Clinician at Massachusetts General Hospital and at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. This is Ms. Capria's second year at BPCPS.
 
Jill Colley, English Teacher, B.A. Loyola College
Before becoming a staff member at BPCPS, Ms. Colley was an English Teacher at Excel Academy Charter School in East Boston, MA. This is Ms. Colley's second year at BPCPS.
 
Christopher Cook, Writing Teacher, B.A. Northeastern University
Previous to being a teacher at BPCPS, Mr. Cook worked at the United States Department of Education and worked as Vice President of Northeastern University Habitat for Humanity.
 
Kaitlyn Coughlin, Special Education Teacher, B.A. Curry College
Before working at BPCPS Ms. Coughlin worked as a special needs teacher in Holbrook, Massachusetts.
 
Michaela Crowley, Dean of Support Services, B.A. Boston College, M.Ed. Boston College
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Crowley taught at the Chenery Middle School in Belmont. Ms. Crowley is currently in her third year at BPCPS.
 
Amanda D’Alessio, Special Education Teacher, B.A. Simmons College, M.S. Pace University
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. D’Alessio spent three years as a Special Education Teacher at the Urban Science Academy in New York City. Ms. D'Alessio is currently in her third year at BPCPS.
 
Jessica Delforge, English Teacher, B.A. Brown University
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Delforge taught Literacy and English at Salem Public High School in Salem. This is Ms. Delforge's second year at BPCPS.
 
Adam Dobberfuhl, Science Teacher, B.S., M.S. University of Minnesota
Before coming to BPCPS, Mr. Dobberfuhl taught Science at the Harbor Middle School in Dorchester and earned his Master's Degree in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution. Mr. Dobberfuhl is currently in his third year at BPCPS.
 
Natasha Faria, Paraprofessional, B.S. Wheelock College
Prior to joining BPCPS, Ms. Faria worked as a Residential Counselor at Germaine Lawrence, Inc., in Arlington. This is Ms. Faria's second year at BPCPS.
 
Patricia Galante, English Teacher, B.A. Saint Anselm College
Prior to joining BPCPS, Ms. Galante spent four years teaching Reading and Writing at Saint Agnes of Bohemia in Chicago, Illinois.
 
Amanda Gardner, Principal, B.A. Tulane University, M.Ed. Harvard University
Ms. Gardner was the founding Dean of Learning at BPCPS. Prior to working at BPCPS, Ms. Gardner completed an administrative internship at the Philbrick School in Roslindale. Ms. Gardner is in her fifth year at BPCPS.
 
Kate Harkey, Math Teacher, B.A. Williams College
Previous to teaching at BPCPS, Ms. Harkey spent a year teaching Math at the Hyde School in Bath, Maine. This is Ms. Harkey's second year at BPCPS.
 
Elsie Huang, Math Department Chair, B.S. Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Ms. Huang was a founding Science and Math Teacher at BPCPS. Prior to working at BPCPS, Ms. Huang was a founding Science Teacher at Smith Leadership Academy Charter School. This is Ms. Huang's fifth year at BPCPS.
 
Lisa Konieczna, Reading & Tae Kwon Do Teacher, B.A. Massachusetts College of Art
Prior to working at BPCPS, Ms. Konieczna was the Assistant Art Director at the Boys & Girls Club of South Boston and was an Office Manager at Sidney Hutter Glass and Light. She is a Second Degree Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. This is Ms. Konieczna’s fourth year at BPCPS.
 
Michael Lester, Dean of Students, B.S. Tuskegee University
Before coming to BPCPS, Mr. Lester spent five years working as Associate Dean of Support Services at the Steppingstone Foundation. This is Mr.Lester's third year at BPCPS.
 
Scott McCue, Head of School, B.A. Harvard University, M.A. Columbia Teachers College
Prior to being hired as the BPCPS Head of School, Mr. McCue coordinated the work of the school's Founding Board as a fellow at the Massachusetts Charter School Resource Center. Prior to this fellowship, Mr. McCue worked as a teacher and administrator at Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School in Hyde Park, MA.
 
Ashley McNair, Administrative Assistant, B.A. University of Massachusetts-Boston
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. McNair worked as a Receptionist at the International Institute of Boston and as a Junior Administrative Assistant in the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
 
Simone Miles, History Teacher, B.A. University of Massachusetts-Boston, Ed.M. Harvard University
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Miles taught at The Harbor Middle School in Dorchester, MA, and earned her Master's Degree at Harvard. This is Ms. Miles' third year at BPCPS.
 
Meghan Owens, English Teacher, B.A. University of New Hampshire, M.A. Northeastern University
Before teaching at BPCPS, Ms. Owens worked as the Area Director at Babson College. Previous to her work there, Ms. Owens taught English and coordinated the Student Affairs program at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
 
Adebayo Owolewa, Latin Teacher, B.A. Amherst College
Before coming to BPCPS, Mr. Owolewa taught Latin and coached at St. Sebastian's School in Needham, MA. Mr. Owolewa is in his second year at BPCPS.
 
Danielle Pape, Dean of Educational Partnerships, B.S. Vanderbilt University, M.Ed. Vanderbilt University
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Pape spent two years as a Humanities Lead Teacher at the Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School in Framingham, MA. This is Ms. Pape's second year at BPCPS.
 
Anders Peterson, Director of Development, B.A. Wesleyan University, M.Ed. Harvard University
Prior to working at BPCPS, Mr. Peterson worked as Headmaster at Savio Prep High School in East Boston, MA. Mr. Peterson is in his second year at BPCPS.
 
Mindy Pinto, History Teacher, B.A. Colby College, M.Ed. Boston College
Previous to her teaching at BPCPS Ms. Pinto spent three years as Social Studies Department Head at the Epiphany School in Dorchester. This is Ms. Pinto's second year at BPCPS.
 
Kate Pope, Special Education Teacher, B.A. Plymouth State University; M.A, Sacred Heart University
Prior to working at BPCPS, Ms. Pope worked as an elementary school teacher and spelling tutor in Connecticut. Ms. Pope is in her second year at BPCPS.
 
Ashlee Reed, Special Education Teacher, B.A. Wellesley College
Before coming to BPCPS, Ms. Reed worked as a counselor and crisis team leader at the Learning Prep school in Newton, Massachusetts.
 
Fernando Santos, History Teacher, B.A. University of Massachusetts Amherst, M.Ed. University of Massachusetts Boston
Mr. Santos has worked most recently as a Boston Teacher Resident at Charlestown High School. Mr. Santos worked for two years as a Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools. Mr. Santos is currently in his fourth year at BPCPS.
 
Amanda Schreckengaust, Science Teacher, B.A. Tufts University, M.Ed. Harvard University
Before teaching at BPCPS, Ms. Schreckengaust taught 5th and 8th grade Science at the Edward Brooke Charter School. This is Ms. Schreckengaust's third year at BPCPS.
 
Molly Stone, Special Education Teacher, B.A. Williams College, M.S. Mercy College
Prior to teaching at BPCPS Ms. Stone spent two years as a Special Education Teacher at the San Francisco Day School in San Francisco. Ms. Stone is currently in her second year at BPCPS.
 
Craig Sini, Substitute Teacher, B.A. Northeastern University, M.A. Northeastern University
Prior to teaching at BPCPS, Mr. Sini earned his Master’s degree in education from Northeastern University. During this time, he also taught history at the Health Careers Academy and at English High School in Boston.
 
Timothy Suba, Math Teacher, B.A. University of Missouri-Columbia
Before teaching at BPCPS, Mr. Suba spent three years as a Special Education Teacher at East St. John Elementary School in La Place, Louisiana. Mr. Suba spent a summer as a School Director for Teach for America in Houston, Texas. This is Mr. Suba's second year at BPCPS.
 
Nick Thompson, Math Teacher, B.A. Oberlin College, M.Ed. Lesley University
Mr. Thompson was a founding Math teacher at BPCPS. Prior to working at BPCPS, Mr. Thompson spent a year as an Urban Teaching Fellow at the Shady Hill School and the John Tobin Elementary School in Cambridge. Mr. Thompson is currently in his fifth year at BPCPS.
 
Anne Tiernan, English Teacher, B.A. Bates College, M.S. University of New England
Before teaching at BPCPS, Ms. Tiernan participated in the Teaching Institute at Berwick Academy, in South Berwick, Maine. This is Ms. Tiernan's second year at BPCPS.
 
Julie Wilkens, English Teacher, B.A. Oberlin College, M.Ed. University of Mississippi
Ms. Wilkens was a founding English teacher at BPCPS. Prior to working at BPCPS, Ms. Wilkens spent seven years teaching literacy and math in Alaska and Mississippi. This is Ms. Wilkens' fifth year at BPCPS.
 
Kayron Wright, Math Teacher, B.F.A. University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth
Before coming to BPCPS, Mr. Wright spent two years as a Campus Director for Citizen Schools. This is Mr. Wright's third year at BPCPS.
 
Chris Wynne, Saturday Academy Teacher, B.A. University of Pennsylvania, M.Ed. Harvard University
Mr. Wynne was a founding Saturday Academy teacher at BPCPS. Mr. Wynne is currently pursuing his Ed.D. at Harvard. Mr. Wynne is currently in his fifth year at BPCPS.
